Angle Gauge turns the iPhone Duo's hinge into a precision measuring instrument. Open the phone against any corner, joint or cut and read the angle live, to a tenth of a degree.
Hit an exact angle by feel with haptics that build as you close in, save the angles you use most, and lay it flat as a precise level. The level works on any iPhone. Angle Gauge is free, and it's in App Review now.
iPhone Duo
Built around the hinge.
Unfolded, the reading gets one half and the controls the other. Set it on the table half open and the reading stands up top. Folded, read it on the cover screen, or lay it flat as a level.
What it does
Measure
A live angle to 0.1°, with Hold, Auto-Hold when the reading settles, and Zero Here for relative measurements. Supplement, bisect and miter angles are worked out for you.
Target
Pick a preset or dial in any angle. Haptics build as you approach and click when you arrive, within a tolerance you set.
Match
Capture an angle into a named library, then fold to find it again by feel.
Level
A bubble level when the phone lies flat and a line level on its edge, with a two-step calibration that cancels the camera bump. Works on any iPhone.
Calibrate
A two-point calibration (closed and flat) corrects the hinge sensor on your own phone.
Made to be read
A fine vernier scale, snapping to 1°, 5° or 15°, light and dark, VoiceOver and Reduce Motion.
