Collective Weight Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 13, 2026
The short version
Collective Weight is a social weight-loss app, so it does use an account and stores your data in the cloud to power challenges, leaderboards, and messaging. We never sell your data and never share it with advertisers.
Information you provide
To create an account and use the app, we store:
- Your name, email address, and profile photo (if you add one)
- Your weigh-ins, goals, and the stats derived from them
- Challenges you create or join, and your standing in them
- Messages and comments you post in challenges and direct chats
Apple Health
If you grant permission, Collective Weight reads weight, body fat %, BMI, and lean mass from Apple Health, and writes the weigh-ins you log back to Apple Health. You control this access at any time in the Health app, and you can choose pounds or kilograms.
How your data is stored
Your account and app data are stored securely using our backend provider (Supabase). Data you share into a challenge or feed is visible to the other members of that group — that's the point of the app — but your account is otherwise private.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account from within the app, which removes your personal data from our systems. You can also email jared.kaeb@gmail.com to request deletion.
Children
Collective Weight is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If our data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised before the change takes effect.
