Shalom Bible Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
The short version
Shalom Bible has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your reading history, notes and settings stay on your device.
What stays on your device
Your reading progress and stats, highlights, saved verses, notes, reading plans, first name and preferences are stored only on your device. They are not synced to any cloud service. Deleting the app deletes them.
Audio narration
When you play narration, the Scripture text of the passage is sent to OpenAI to generate the audio and word timings, and the result is cached on your device. Only the Bible text is sent: no personal information, notes or identifiers. OpenAI's handling of these requests is governed by its privacy policy.
Notifications
Reading reminders are scheduled on your device.
Children
Shalom Bible does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised before the change takes effect.
