Simple Fade Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
The short version
Simple Fade works entirely offline. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it never connects to the internet. We don't collect any information about you.
What stays on your device
Everything you create is stored only on your iPhone or iPad:
- Your events: names, descriptions, start times, icons and colors
- Your playlists and cues: track order, fade and delay settings, cue notes, announcement scripts and silent breaks
- Copies of the audio files you import
Your music
You add music by choosing audio files in the Files app. Simple Fade copies them into its own private storage on your device. It doesn't access your Apple Music library, and your files are never uploaded anywhere.
Backups
Simple Fade doesn't sync to iCloud. Imported audio files are excluded from device backups. Your event and playlist details are included in your normal iPhone or iPad backup, which is controlled by you and your Apple account.
Permissions
Simple Fade asks for no permissions. It uses background audio only so music keeps playing when the screen locks, and shows the current track on the Lock Screen.
Deleting your data
Deleting an event removes it along with its tracks and their audio files. Swiping to delete a track removes it and its file. Deleting the app removes everything.
Children
Simple Fade doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised before the change takes effect.
